Testimony of God’s Faithfulness
Conquer difficulties with these testimonies of faith
Whenever we wake up in the morning, what immediately comes into our mind? God’s graces or our problems? Sadly, most people are burdened by their problems in life: poverty, discrimination, unjust treatment, and their lives only revolve around these negativities. We are tempted to give up, forget everything, and succumb to the idea that we will never become better.
Yet God never fails to demonstrate His love to remind us that we are never alone. If we take a good look, there are actually people who are inspired to share their testimony of God’s faithfulness, especially in the darkest moments of their lives. These people, from thousands of years ago until today, also inspired me to write my own story of victory that came from fully trusting the Lord’s plans.
Most of my life, I’ve had my share of difficulties. I have been a victim of discrimination, of physical abuse, and of political conflicts. But in those situations, I have not lost faith in God, because He has provided me with grace—more than enough to sustain me every day.
Those difficulties were not meant to punish me, but to rely more on God while doing the best that I can and accepting the help of people. As I grew older, God has slowly revealed to me His faithfulness. And that’s only the tip of the iceberg.
It turns out that the challenges I went through are what makes me a living witness of God’s grace. He has blessed me with so much that I could not help but share how great He is to me. It gives me joy to encourage people who are going through hard times and see them succeed later.
The Bible presents a lot of stories of victory that happen not only because they did not lose sight of God, but it happened as a testimony of God’s faithfulness.
One great story happened in the time of Joseph. Joseph was the youngest of the twelve sons of Jacob. Because Jacob favored Joseph among his siblings, the latter grew envious of the former. Eventually, they plot to sell him to the caravan going to Egypt. And they were successful at getting rid of him. You can imagine Joseph’s great grief at what his brothers did to him. But what happened next defies all logic and human effort.
This is where God’s deliverance and faith began to work. It so happens that Joseph’s gift of vision from God made him the most trusted man of the pharaoh, the most powerful ruler of Egypt. At that time, the Jews were in great distress because of the great famine. They hurried to Egypt to trade food. Joseph, being the next powerful person from the pharaoh, used this influence to help them. Forgiveness follows as his brothers proved to him that they have changed. Reunited with his family and settled at last in Egypt, Joseph ruled the nation for the next eighty years.
Joseph’s story reminds us that no matter how bad our life turns out to be, God uses that situation to fulfill His great plans for us. We might not know and fully understand His plans, but we can only trust His plans for us.
This is only one of myriads of testimonies of faith. If you read more, you will find stories of victories to testify God’s faithfulness. Abraham, David, Daniel, Ruth, and many more key people in the Bible did incredible things because they have an incredible God.
God will never leave you behind nor let you down nor let you down.
